CHILDREN OF THE CITY

– So do you go to nature often?

– Well.. if somebody drags me along, then yes, I go, but otherwise no.

– It doesn’t fit the picture of you. You look like somebody who should be in the nature often. You should be able to survive everywhere.

– I guess I can. And I do like to be in the nature. It gives a chance to feel something alive. But those things “alive” feel too alienated..

ARRRGH! HULK IS VERY ANGRY!

“Pendulums”* creep up imperceptibly. The more I start to think that I attained the state of immutability, the more different pendulums are trying to get me out of balance.

I fall into a state of rage very easily. Most notably it is with my voice: the angrier – the lower voice gets. As a child, I couldn’t not to fight, to not scream and yell.. couldn’t not to go crazy. Over the years, it became easier to control.. and to somebody it may seem that I grasped zen. Alas.. This is not so.

IT WILL SNOW OR THOUGHTS AT 3 A.M.

Who would have thought it’s still possible to feel. Snow makes me happy. No.. not like this. People with whom I admire snow or the ones I think about when I see it, they are making me happy. Probably that’s the magic. This is why it’s worth loving winter. It’s worth the fingers that get frozen off. Cold gives some clearness of thoughts and then snow fills this clearness with important things.

INSPIRING – Slawek Gruca

Pictures full of despair but with humor – “funny and scary” – really sweat ones but giving some uncomfortable feeling even when designed for soft surrealism.. This is all about work of Slawek Gruca.

I never used his pictures in blog. Didn’t work together. They never charmed my visually, instead they were feeding a hungry need of emotions and absorbing ideas.

Slawek is a Polish painter and designer, whose favorite tools are graphite and ink, and later oil. Pictures became softer but the spirit remained.
