“MAKE DO” ATTITUDE

Last weekend I was in a beautiful place you see on this picture. The day was quiet and peaceful. Bright but not sunny. Perfect to sit on a pier, listen to soft waves and read.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t do exactly what I wanted because I had to keep the conversation and entertain another person. A nagging blah-blah next to me, while I felt very “ommm”.

Option one – be annoyed that things are not going exactly as I want.

Option two – enjoy the semi-awesome place I was at. It was still damn beautiful and nice weather. I really like a phrase in english “Made do” – to manage to live without things that you would like to have or with things of a worse quality than you would like. Psychologically, not being able to do it creates a constant anxiety about things not going your way, clearly not the path i’d like to choose for myself and wish for no one around me. ❤ Growing up a clinical perfectionist, learning to embrace a “make do” attitude was one of my priorities about 1,5 years ago. I’m immensely content how much it improved the quality of life.

❤❔ would you like some tips on being cool with “make do” attitude?
